I love the idea of a Happy School Year ritual complete with cake and making wishes And I like watching the kids get ready all over town But I am going to be a crank yet again and say I find the art work reminds me of a Highlights Magazine cartoon it s awkward and the facial expressions are very limited.If this had had a different illustrator it could have been sheer magic As it is, it s just another nice back to school book.
