A Couple of HeartsJohn Macpherson and Maria, Queen of Hungary are the hero and heroine of this novel Their love story starts as he saves her from disaster as she is running away from a second marriage arranged by her brother She joins the rest of the Macpherson family of unique characters and strong women John has the nickname Jack of Hearts and Maria is eventually the Queen of his heart A very enjoyable book The series is great

    7. I really enjoyed the Macpherson brothers trilogy The authors have managed to create strong characters that have fought wars but can still be tender and have a strong moral compass that guides them through their lives and leads to their ultimate destiny I Loved all three books
