    1. This is an excellent and very readable analysis of the corporate takeover of everyday life, which has implications well beyond the study of work and formal organisation It is also an interesting bringing together of two theorists Foucault and Habermas who aren t necessarily easy partners, but the theory is dealt with straightforwardly, without over simplifying It has filled an important gap for me and will be much used.

    2. A critical theoretical perspective on corporate domination of public decision making This book helps to clarify the role of communication particularly relative to the linguistic turn in elevating concepts of manager power managerialism It pulls heavily from Foucault s theory of diffused disciplinary power I think it would be that much powerful if written for those slightly less familiar with communication theory.
