    1. This was a nice little caper It was a lot of fun in a tidy package and, at three issues, didn t outstay its welcome. Also, it was nice to see Widget again Original Excalibur rocks

    2. The only problem with this miniseries is that it s too damn short It s only three issues On hand, that s probably the right length for the story If they d added or stretched it out, it would have felt thin On the other three new issues in a trade I m not sure what the solution is, other than to maybe pair it with another short Secret Wars miniseries There s an attempt to pad it out with a random Black Vortex issue and a really unfortunate Age of Apocalypse issue There s nothing inherently wrong [...]

    3. Super fun romp with a gaggle of ridiculous characters Shallow Comics Readers approved Nice art by some relative newcomers, Alti Firmansyah and Jessica Kholinne Plus someone s got a great sense of humour Drax has never looked so stylish The basic premise of the story is Kitty works for Valeria to track down anything that doesn t fit Doom s all God theory, and Peter is one of those anomalies Hijinx ensue Like running into clumsy funny robot clones of the New Mutants AND some actual Battleworld inf [...]

    5. What could have been an excellent read is just a good one thanks to Marvel once again short changing trade readers with a padded out collection.First, the good news Thanks to writer Sam Humphries, Star Lord and Kitty Pryde has all the charm, humour and heart that the Legendary Star Lord series had at least, before it was railroaded by The Black Vortex event Peter Quill survives the disruptive cataclysmic Secret Wars event and is now on Battleworld, a patchwork planet created by Dr Doom Mourning [...]

    7. I love this little BattleWord Secret Wars story Kitty from the Age of Apocalypse universe is badass as are all Kitty Prydes Watching her interact with Star Lord from Earth 616 whom is in love engaged to that Kitty Pryde 616 was fantastic I loved it.

    8. Secret Wars was clearly a very well done event seeing as even the filler is worth a read There s nothing substantial here and their are certainly both better and important things to read as part of the Secret Wars event but it s a whole lot of fun and well worth a read if you re a fan of either character or them both as a couple.

    9. Star Lord and Kitty Pryde is a surprisingly charming tale set along the edges of Marvel s massive Secret Wars event. At the outset, Peter Quill is hiding out in one of the stable corners of Battleworld, working as an unlikely lounge singer An alt Drax, with a cheery attitude, natty suit and massive pompadour, works the door The Age of Apocalypse version of Kitty complete with Wolverine esque claws enters the club to meet an alterna Gambit, a shifty operator known as The Collector Kitty works for [...]

    10. Who d guess that if someone managed to write a good Secret Wars crossover book, it d be Sam Humphries But this is entirely charming It s a great look at a Peter Quill and Kitty Pryde and their love, with a fun bit of caper and a good bit of fun along the way.I think the book is helped by the fact that this is the real Peter Quill, giving us a strong basis to care for the character Choosing the actual Kitty Pryde from the Age of Apocalypse was also an excellent choice But mostly it s the writing [...]

It s StarKat together again In this three issues series, we find Peter Quill aka Star Lord, living in the Battleworld of Manhattan as a club singer, using Captain America s name as his alias While there, he comes across the Age of Apocalypse version of Kitty Pryde, who works for a group called the Foundation, run by Doctor Doom s daughter, that finds and study objects or anomaly not of the Battleworld In his shock, Star Lord interrupts a dealing between Kitty and Gambit the Collector, who runs o [...]

    13. So here s my thoughts I loved the beginning part where it s the new kitty and peter But after that I got confused on the direction of the rest of the book and there were a lot of pan eps about characters I didn t know and honestly I could have read them but honestly skipped over them I m sure they are great an all I just had no interest I loved nearing the end there was peter and the og kitty scene where peters proposed and that was super cute.

    19. It s been 20 years since I put aside my obsessive reading of Marvel continuity somewhere around the mid 90s Legacy virus and endless crossovers , but Shadowcat was my first comics love and I had to give this a try I m very glad I did.I didn t really need any background in the current crisis to understand what was going on in a world where the multiverse has converged and multiple versions of the same heroes are confined in a small space, Peter Quill Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy finds h [...]

Collects Star Lord and Kitty Pryde issues 1 3, Guardians of the Galaxy X Men The Black Vortex Omega issue 1, and Generation Next issue 1This collection was a big surprise to me I liked it much than I anticipated I would This was the first Secret Wars tie in story that I ve read that actually spins out of the events of the main Secret Wars story This collection also features the comic with the first appearance of the Age of Apocalypse version of Kitty Pryde, as well as the final issue of the rec [...]

    21. I absolutely loved this graphic novel I didn t know that I needed a Kitty Pryde and Star Lord relationship in my life until I happened to see this graphic novel in Barnes and Noble The artwork was beautiful and possibly my new favorite artwork style The dynamic was perfect, and so was the writing of Star Lord s character I couldn t believe it when I opened to the first page and saw him singing songs from The Little Mermaid Also Drax s hair is fantastic The only issue I had with this was that the [...]

    22. Peter is one of the few who remember 616 because Reed flew him out to space before the world ended, and now he s a lounge singer on the Battleworld and mourning the loss of his fiancee Kitty until an echo of her showed up in his club Charming, sweet, funny, with great art Love that Peter going by Swingin Stevie Rogers, since he s wanted under his own name sings Disney songs because there weren t any Disney movies on Battleworld I also adore Kitty s celestial gown, and she is a kickass fighter an [...]

    23. This is actually a 3 issue mini series and 2 reprints The reprints are from the Black Vortex and Age of Apocalypse trades and they even advertise those at the end of each Nothing like paying extra money for Marvel Commercials As far as the new material goes, it s just meh I haven t found any of these Secret Wars minis that I ve really enjoyed yet There s no real characterization as these iterations of the characters will cease to exist at the end of Secret Wars Even the stories themselves have l [...]

    24. Complete fluff but fluff that I loved The story, though short, was sweet and well written, and the artwork was simply gorgeous Reminded me of classic 90s Disney which really fitted the story The two extra issues of Black Vortex which I will read eventually and AoA which was good were a good inclusion too, to pad out the pages a bit Some might criticise it for being too short, but who cares, I loved it.

    25. I m glad that at least in Battleworld, Marvel has not lost the spirit that turned Guardians of the Galaxy an instant hit Here we see Peter Quill crossing paths with a different version of Kitty Pryde What will happen to them will soon change not just their view of Doom but their fate as individuals away from their homes.

    26. This was okay, but I had a question in case anyone can explain it if I recall correctly it was a library copy the intro said that this is the 616 Starlord, who survived the incursion But in the main Secret Wars comic, Starlord is with the rest of the heroes Was this a mistake by the editors, was his detour explained somehow, have I misread something

    27. This was a real slog for me I haven t read much of the post Abnett Lanning GOTG stuff, so I had no existing emotional investment in Peter Kitty, which the book assumes The art was entirely not to my liking And Humphries dialogue just drove me nuts Not to mention it was a very slight story to begin with.

    28. I noticed this was a slim volume, but wow it was even shorter than I thought The cover story is over before you know it what was the point Then there is a Blackvortex section, which I am so over Black Vortex event has been spread out and used as filler in way too many of recent volumes of various runs Stop it.

    29. A fun, throwaway story set during Secret Wars featuring one of the odder couples of the Marvel Universe The issue from the Black Vortex saga is a pleasant addition but the Generation Next issue is confrontationaly awful.

    30. Probably wouldn t make much sense to anyone without a basic knowledge of the Secret Wars miniseries, which I consider a failure as far as any tie in is concerned The story itself is an entertaining enough caper though and the art is decent.
