    1. People who appreciate Meronek s books clearly know something others don t Of course he looks fairly well pressed for a 76yr old gentile That is if you think an enlightened sense of style includes a polyester lavender sandalwood suit, with well heeled shoes made from fascists child s fur Allow me to divulge further, while his books could legitimately be the flavour of the month, appearances can also be deceiving because his sense of fashion is mostly an acquired one And yes, if you are wondering, [...]

    2. I read Stay Another Night by P.S Meronek and I can t say with sincerity that I loved the book I wanted to like it mostly because it had such an interesting cover, but you know how the old adage goes. The book follows several different story lines but focuses on our heroine, Coco Stevens and her supposed better half, Sam Spielman, who just happens to be a Mafia boss The story switches back and forth between past and present and that tends to get a little distracting at times Coco is such an unbeli [...]

    3. I won this book in a First Reads Giveaway and immediately read right through it I thought the story line was interesting, however, most of the characters are predictable and not quite believable Mr Meronek also has a habit of interrupting the flow of the novel by having his characters pontificate on issues that have nothing to do with the plot, such as family values, politics, wildlife conservation, etc I found myself putting the book down frequently and walking away until I was ready to slog th [...]

    6. I got this book through First Reads. As with several books I ve won through this program, this one was a disappointment It was neither mystery nor thriller nor suspense, though it was listed under mystery in the giveaway section The truth is I don t know what to call it Coco Stevens, the main character, is almost too good to be true She s perfect, almost too perfect She s incredibly beautiful and amazingly smart, always kind and giving, lucky and full of integrity And things come too easily to he [...]

    7. Stay Another Night is my second P.S Meronek book to read His writing style appeals to me in that he always keeps me guessing If you want a book that is plain and follows only one story line his books are not for you In Stay Another Night, Meronek follows the lives of two individual people CoCo Stevens and Sam Spielman CoCo is a model who hit the modeling world by storm when she was photographed with a herd of Elephants in Kenya during a vacation with Sam Sam is a businessman who dabbles in many [...]

    8. From the beginning Mr Meronek pulled me into his story His writing is exquisite and I m not sucking up but I have to tell it like it is This is his second book I have read and I truly enjoyed both Going between the past and present so smoothly and effortlessly without a glitch was great I don t like to read a book that lose me in the process because the story switch to the past and present and cause great confusion in my mind This is a book that draws you in real quick and needed to know what wi [...]

    9. ARC won through First Reads.I must be honest I requested this book because there were 1000 books available, and I figured that I d win one As far as topics of a book go, I m not interested in Vegas, Models Actresses, or Africa The only thing that called to me besides the 1000 books available was that the male lead was a mob boss All that being said, I really enjoyed this book I loved the parts in Africa, Kenya specifically The descriptions were so beautiful They made me open to the idea of wanti [...]

    10. I won this book through First Reads My interest in entering for this book was because I had previously read author, P.S Meronek s, book The Joshua Effect and really enjoyed it Stay Another Night is usually a book I wouldn t read, but the small introduction of the book sounded good when it spoke of a Mafia Boss being one of the main character s The book talks of a young, aspiring actress, named Coco, who makes her start as a stripper She is very focused and headstrong in knowing what she wants an [...]

    11. I d give this 4.5 stars if I could I won this book in a giveaway and I m glad I did because it was a very good book.I enjoyed the back and forth style where the author would write in the present and then revert to something that happened in the past I found Coco to be very likable, as was Sam The writing, especially the parts in Kenya, was very descriptive Obviously parts of the story require that a person suspend belief in real life For example, Coco happens upon the most ethical photographer e [...]

    13. I won this book as a good reads giveaway This is a highly entertaining story which immediately draws the reader s interest and holds it throughout the book It would have been very easy for the author to make these characters clich d, however, he makes them both likeable and believable The author has a tendency to lecture in spots and I think it would do him well to trust the readers and let them use their own imagination at times instead of pointing out every last little detail Overall, I recomm [...]

    17. I received a copy of this book from First Reads giveaway. This was my first encounter with P.S Meronek as I have never even heard of him, much less read his work before this novel I have to say that I have read better but I have read worse. The cover is what caught my eye and the reason that I clicked to enter the giveaway as it just looked like it would be a gritty, sleazy read which actually was not the case Meronek writes smoothly and handles the flashback heavy plot with ease It would have bee [...]

This is the second book by P.S Meronek I have won through the first reads giveaway Although in the end I did not overall enjoy it as much as, A Lifetime to Die I still enjoyed it enough to rate it 3.5 4 stars I ll be honest it took me a few chapters in to really start getting into the story of Coco, and by half way through I was completely hooked Some readers do not prefer stories that go back and forth linking the present and the past however, I actual enjoy it if it is done well In this book, [...]

    20. Overall this was a pretty enjoyable book The main character, Coco Stevens, narrates the story, and lives a pretty fantastic life Her father is murdered when she is six leaving her alone with her mother As she grows up circumstances arise which lead to her becoming a high end stripper followed by a supermodel, and then an actress The story hoes back and forth across time, and it usually took me a page or to to figure out when I was reading about There are many different plot lines going on concur [...]

    25. I won this in a GR First Reads giveaway Most of the books I ve won here have been pretty darn good, some better than othersis, however, is not one of those I didn t care for the writing style, the main character was apparently perfection, but boring, IMHO, characters would go on unrelated diatribes, those are a few of the things, off the top of my head, that I didn t like I skimmed large parts of this because it was just plain old BORING I m glad I didn t spend any money on this, I d feel well a [...]

    26. Flat, one dimensional characters experience a very Mary Sue style storyline that is very unrealistic Main character Coco is your typical I AM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GIRLS girl and was obnoxious the entire book Meronek tries to squeeze too many genres into a short novel, it may have been a much better read if he had only stuck to one or two rather than five plus In short poorly written and not very enjoyable.
