    2. Reading the local authors of one s home area is exciting Reading of familiar locations, even those sites created in the course of a fictionalized story, adds to the life of the story by helping the reader suspend disbelief Such was my experience as I read this debut novel from a fellow resident of South Central Kentucky There is evidence of the talent that lies within Ms Blair to create an engaging story, with believable characters with a plausible plot McWhorter, Kentucky, is a lovely place It [...]

I was excited to read this book, mainly because I have met the author who is also a fantastic cook I am not usually interested in mysteries, but I will say that I really enjoyed this book I especially enjoyed how the book jumped from character to character, offering different perspectives of the story I like this, because it allowed me to stay inolved with many characters, rather than hear one side of the story The chapter titles also served as a time line, which made me feel like I was reading [...]

    11. The premise of this novel was interesting Having friends from the area I could see the truth in many of the characters But I found the book confusing at times, boring at times and Tillie just turns out to be a dumb blonde on so many levels the gun belonged to the family, she forgets to ask where the scene of the accident is and she gets pregnant on purpose
